MySep requested a redesign of their outdated software user interface for the next generation. They sought a modern and updated look and feel.

Understanding the intricacies of separation software is challenging, and discerning the needs of their users adds another layer of complexity.

We completely reimagined the user experience of their software from the ground up, reinventing both navigation and interaction.

Discovery

Our initial encounter was marked by a sudden realization of an outdated interface cluttered with numerous tabs, pop-ups, windows, and tables. Our thorough examination of each window ensured a complete grasp of the software.

Design Process

Rethinking the UI/UX

We commenced by reevaluating the information architecture and presented various iterations of the UX workflow. Once approved by the team, we proceeded to the visual design phase. Two themes were requested: Dark and White. We crafted a user interface with a contemporary aesthetic, ensuring ease of navigation and interaction.

Component-Based Design System

Two sets of components were developed for both themes. MySep Studio, being a complex software handling extensive data, required the creation of numerous data-related components, along with all interactions and animations.

Custom Iconography

Designing icons for complex domain software poses a considerable challenge due to the lack of common understanding. Our objective was to create icons that are comprehensible to domain experts, facilitating intuitive navigation within the software.
